JOHN TRAINORFor Mayor of Armstrong
What Matters Most

My Priorities for Armstrong.

A practical focus on downtown, taxpayers and working together — backed by 18 years on Armstrong Council.

A Voice in Downtown Changes

John will establish an ad hoc committee of business leaders and residents to review the changes being made to Pleasant Valley Blvd North, giving the people affected a voice in the discussion.

Downtown Access & Parking

Armstrong's business and office community depends on vehicle traffic. John believes restricting downtown access and parking is counterproductive, and wants people to be able to reach the shops and services they rely on.

A Fair Plan for Taxpayers

John will review the city's five-year financial plan, with particular attention to whether proposed tax increases place an excessive burden on residents, especially seniors.

Experience That Counts

John's previous 18 years on Armstrong Council give him familiarity with the city's systems and infrastructure. He will bring that experience to the decisions facing Armstrong as mayor.

A Strong Business Community

John sees the business and office community as essential to downtown Armstrong. He will welcome the Chamber of Commerce back to City Hall and work with local businesses on the decisions that affect them.

Leadership That Works Together

Good leadership is collaborative. John will welcome community volunteers back to City Hall and work alongside the people who give their time and energy to Armstrong.
